A major milestone has been achieved in the development of Fulton & Fifth, as the structural completion of the tallest of five blocks is marked with a topping-out ceremony. Standing tall at 28 storeys, the tower (Parkside) is now officially one of the tallest residential buildings in the London Borough of Brent, solidifying its status as a landmark addition to the Wembley Park skyline.
Representatives from the development team gathered to celebrate this key achievement in the construction of Fulton & Fifth, an ambitious new residential project of 876 homes in total that will sit alongside new independent cafés, workspaces and new biodiverse green spaces including a linear park. Residents will have their own private outdoor space and access to 5-star amenities inspired by the sport and wellbeing buzz in the area. 294 homes (roughly 40% of the scheme) were purchased by Brent Council in 2023 to be offered as affordable new homes for local households.
Parkside’s completion signifies a step closer to realising this vision, with the building set to provide a mix of contemporary apartments designed to meet the needs of modern city dwellers.
With 876 homes and more than 33,000 sq ft of commercial space, Fulton & Fifth is a behemoth of modern urban development. By incorporating off-site manufacturing for the structure, envelope, bathroom pods and utility cupboards, Regal has mitigated risks, managed labour shortages and maintained quality.
Off-site construction brings undeniable advantages, including programme certainty and improved quality control. It shields projects from the unpredictability of weather and fluctuating labour efficiency while reducing waste and fostering a more sustainable construction model. These efficiencies are not just beneficial – they are essential.
Damien Cartmell, Managing Director for Construction, Regal commented:
“Today’s topping out of Parkside at Fulton & Fifth is a proud moment for everyone involved. This milestone represents months of hard work, collaboration, and dedication to creating a building that embodies quality and innovation. Parkside not only adds to the architectural landscape of Wembley Park but also contributes to Brent’s growing reputation as a destination for exceptional living.”
With the structural works completed, focus now shifts to the next phases of construction and the completion of the first blocks due in Spring 2025. Parkside is scheduled for completion in Q4 2025, with the first residents expected to move in shortly thereafter.
Fulton & Fifth is part of the ongoing transformation of Wembley Park, a thriving hub of culture, entertainment, and connectivity. The development underscores the commitment to providing high-quality housing and enhancing the overall experience of living in one of London’s most dynamic neighbourhoods.
