In early June, the Regal team visited Bridgestone Arena, home of the Jason Roberts Foundation (JRF), as part of their ongoing commitment to local communities. Over five days, Regal staff and contractors came together to deliver a full transformation of both the interior and exterior of the centre, making a lasting difference to the facility and the people who use it.
Works began with vital safety improvements, including clearing a long-blocked fire exit and repairing and repainting the perimeter boards of the much-loved 5-a-side pitch. These upgrades were followed by a bold refresh of the building’s frontage, creating a more welcoming and vibrant entrance.
Inside the arena, the team laid new carpet across key community spaces, including the education, library, and media rooms, all of which are regularly used by local residents, youth groups, and partner organisations. The upgraded flooring has brought a brighter, cleaner, and more inspiring atmosphere to spaces that support learning, creativity, and connection.
Jason Roberts MBE, Founder of JRF, shared his appreciation:
“Gestures like this don’t come every day from local companies. I’d like to say a big thank you to Regal and their partners and contractors, including Daniel Frett, Project Lead, and Ellie Boyle, Senior Site Manager, for thinking about supporting community centres like ours. This will make a massive difference to the look and feel of the space — and it’s a lovely surprise as we head into the summer months.”
Ellie Boyle, Senior Site Manager at Regal, added:
“We were proud to support the Jason Roberts Foundation and help enhance the Bridgestone Arena for the local community. At Regal, we take our role seriously and are always looking for meaningful ways to make a positive impact. A huge thank you to our project partners – R Sees Flooring Company Ltd, PCE Limited, Oakwoods Skips, London MEP Group Ltd, and MadiganGill – for their dedication and generosity in making this possible.”
Also in June, Regal took part in the annual O&B Social Value Football Tournament, a grassroots-led initiative raising funds for mental health charity Bridge the Gap Football. Fourteen teams competed on the day, raising over £6,500 in support of youth mental wellbeing through sport and mentoring. It was another opportunity to contribute directly to local social impact – on and off the pitch.
