Starting a new life at The Laundry: Ollie’s Story

“From the moment I walked in, I knew this would be the exact place I wanted to start building my life in.

We had the pleasure of sitting down with Oliver Winters, a resident at our development, The Laundry, located in London Fields. Having lived in East London all his life, Ollie wanted to stay close to his roots – and his workplace near Liverpool Street. “It’s about five minutes from the station… by Lime bike it’s about 10 minutes, and if I get the overground, it’s less than 15 minutes door to door,” he explains.

But convenience isn’t the only draw. London Fields offers something central London can’t always provide: atmosphere. “It doesn’t feel like it’s right in central London. It has a little bit of personality and I love the location.”

A Standout Development

Interestingly, The Laundry wasn’t the first stop on Ollie’s property search. Initially shown another development nearby, he quickly realised it wasn’t for him. The lack of outdoor space and uninspired use of layout left him unimpressed. That’s when his agent introduced him to The Laundry.

Though the site wasn’t complete, Ollie knew instantly it was the right choice. “The moment I came into the space, it was perfect. It was open plan, super bright, had this beautiful balcony out here,” he recalls. Plus having in-house amenities makes life just that little bit easier.

A Smooth Process

Buying a property in London can be notoriously drawn out, up to 6 months in some cases, but Ollie’s experience at The Laundry was refreshingly different. “I was really worried it would be a long, drawn-out process, but I think we got it done in about six days, which was a huge relief.”

He also praises the support he received along the way. “Josh, who showed me around the building, was great. He was very knowledgeable and reassured me.”

The Perfect Foundation

For Ollie, The Laundry isn’t just a flat – it’s the right foundation for building the life he wants. With its modern design, welcoming brightness, and unbeatable location, it represents what London living should feel like: connected, inspiring, and personal.

“From the moment I came in, I was like, this is exactly the sort of space that I want to start building my life in.”
