For buyers seeking a beautifully designed home in one of London’s most prestigious postcodes, The Compton is the perfect solution, with luxurious interiors specified by award-winning designer Kelly Hoppen MBE and strikingly elegant architecture by Simon Bowden Architects.
The collection of one, two and three bedroom apartments and three bedroom penthouses with accompanying roof terraces have been crafted with style and relaxation in mind.
A JEWEL in St John’s Wood
The Compton is set in the exclusive neighbourhood of St John’s Wood, a short stroll from Regents Park. The 49 luxurious apartments and outstanding residents’ facilities were designed in collaboration with Kelly Hoppen.
It is one of the first cast metal clad buildings of its scale in Europe. It is a truly bespoke addition to the London skyline, with a characterful, curved façade never seen before in the city. The building contributes to the context of its surroundings and the local architectural vernacular, whilst pushing the boundaries of design.
The planning stage was intricate and involved working up prototypes of the aluminium cladding, running analysis and testing. With emphasis on both the aesthetics and the functionality of the structure, over 1,000 designs were developed for the patterns of the aluminium bays. The shortlist was then assessed in terms of texture and outline, to ensure that they would capture the right amount of light on the surface of the building.
This architecturally striking apartment building completed in 2018 and is now an integral part of the St John’s Wood landscape.
